the year of dreams (come true)- ππβ‘οΈπΆπ #2023
this year has brought so much growth-
so much expanse-
such a wide and hearty new ring
within our family tree π±ππ³ππ
we went out on new limbs
scrambled to new heights
writhed out of skin grown much too tight ππβ»οΈπ¦
like seeds, we burst-
we trust-
we become even more
*us*
This year I learned (really learned)
that no stage of life
is better than any other.
Each phase is wholly complete
unto itself
yearning for future change + growth
doesnβt mean our present is somehow lacking
(the mind is real tricksy like that) //
our current self is not merely
an incomplete version
of our future self
looking back,
the only thing my younger self appears to have βlackedβ
is an awareness of how irreplaceably precious presence isβ¦
how utterly rightful every aspect of this moment is-
even, and sometimes especially, if itβs not my preference -
(see also: radical acceptance, patience, surrender π³)
perpetually striving for the next milestone is natural because...
#evolution
β¦the seed is made to burst
β¦the sprout thirsts for sunlight
β¦the sapling pines for height
β¦the bud aches to bloom
yet- we are not made whole by our craving for maturity,
but by our depth of presence in the becoming-
by shifting our center of gravity
to Here and Now.

always, we have arrivedβ

I understand it so much more--
so much differently-
than I did a year ago.
Arrival, completion, wholeness--
the destination is always right here, beneath our feet.
trusting and flowing with life,
we remember we are freeβ
we discover
how miracles are made
Enthusiastic blissful expansive// electric courage
with faith in what we cannot see
faith in infinite possibility
