this is our tenth year homeschooling (!!). wowow, a whole decade.
somehow it feels huge and fleeting at the same time. “gosh how far we’ve come” + “we only have a brief few more years until it’s over forever” in the same thought. bittersweet, as with all things parenthood.

even after all these years, i * marvel * at all the ways in which homeschool fills our cups + sets us free. free to live joyfully, openly, magically in alignment with our deepest values and soul callings. free to radiate that aliveness out into the world. healing, wholling, revolutionary.
homeschool is a home-coming -- to our ever-evolving selves, to each other, to the dream of our soul on the earth.

our home :: a beacon of love, light, and connection that broadcasts magic, meaning and mastery out into the world. ✨💛✨

making the most of this one wild and precious life together. we believe in togetherness, closeness.
tell me - what’s more important than spending as much time as possible with the people we love, doing the things that make us come alive?
what’s more important than teaching our children about the ways of the world -- “what it is to be human upon the earth” { medicine stories }
”i am trying to sell them the world. any decent realtor, walking you through, chirps on about good bones:: this place could be beautiful, right? you could make this place beautiful.” { maggie smith }

it’s up to >> us << to teach our children what they need to know to live happy, courageous, fulfilling, vibrant lives (they learn lots in school except the things that matter the most). by living consciously and deliberately we become the most important teachers they’ll ever have (we already are). how we live -- the way we care for our bodies, the earth, each other. the information we choose to consume and recite. the choices we make. how we respond to life as it comes at us. the habits that set the cadence for our days. this is education,, because this is life. and what is education for if not to discover how to live well/ do good?

we’ve chosen to architect our lives as a reflection of our values, dreams, beliefs.
consciousness. creativity. freedom. empowerment. adventure. love. deep connection.

living is learning, they are not separate. we shape our days based on how we feel.
the freedom to choose liberates our ability to see clearly/ live passionately. the ultimate “choose your own adventure” game.

we seek change, call it in. we yearn to grow in every direction. lean into resistances and out of familiarity.
we’re a fellowship set forth on a great adventure -- a flowering quest of endless growth.

everything in the entire world was at one point completely made up by someone else, and then adopted by society.
we don’t have to arbitrarily follow other people’s rules. we don’t have to obediently accept a life mapped out for us.
we can create our own.

to our children --> you do not have to obey authority without question, go to college “for the sake of college,” rack up massive debt, and end up in a 9-5 grind that you hate, where your brightest hope for the future is retirement.
is this really the best we as humans can imagine?
in a world teeming with beauty, diversity, nourishment -- with food and medicine and resources literally growing on trees! #eden
we choose tax returns, credit cards, cubicles.

instead of shaping our kids to fit into an ailing, outdated culture that’s handed down to them, we want to teach them how to create a new one -- how to create the world they were born to belong to. artists of consciousness. our dreams come through us. the only way to really do it is together, everyday.

homeschool is growing an education, yes. but more than that, it’s growing a life. cultivating the self. discovering the soul’s innate curriculum and fearlessly pursuing it. it’s a declaration of independence -/ an activation of the greatest freedom, privelege and responsibility of all -- the power to live consciously in the way that feels right and true and good for you.

homeschool is jedi training. ancient wisdom + future vision.
where we practice turning our thoughts into things, our imaginations into creations. where the things that inspire us, entire us.
where we’re free.

“may your life be like a wildflower, growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day.” { native american proverb }

{ { { may we live with mindfulness and gratitude so as to be worthy of all the gifts we have been given } } }
